  • 2007

       Discussion and Agreement of setting up the Joint-Venture Company between Europe and China; in charge of promoting and distributing promising products (Meri series) within the Chinese market.    

  • 2008

       Meriden (Guangzhou) Biotech Co. Ltd. was set up by its two founders: Mr. Stephen Harris and Dr. Gene Jin. The company initiated to market the oregano essential oil products in China. Collaborating with large companies across the country, the company succeeded in garnering sales over ten million, exceeding initial expectations.

  • 2009

      Various R&D projects were launched with local and European Universities and Research Institutes (Aristortle University in Greece, multiple research institutes in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, etc.) to create new and innovative products.     

  • 2010

      Based on the MoU between the European and Chinese partners, the production factory was built in the American Industrial Park in Guangzhou, China. It not only produces both powder and liquid phytogenic products (Phytogen -- an oregano essential oil imported from Europe), but also the series of feed additives such as Tech-Sweet (a sweetener), deToxinPro (mycotoxin binders), Tech-Acid (an acidifier), etc. 
Based on Chinese law, the production company was then renamed to "Meritech Bioengineering Co. Ltd."

  • 2011

       Twenty of the feed industry leaders in China were invited to have exchange programs with their European counterparts, such as For Farmers and Germany Co-op. 
The company was then ISO9001 certified and granted two patents for its phytogenic products.    

  • 2012

       The company became well recognized and was elected as the Deputy Chairman for the China Feed Economy and Technology Committee. The joint venture research project between European and Chinese governments was then granted. Meritech was the only participant in the joint venture research, collaborating with the University of Aristortle and Middle-China Agricultural University.

  • 2013

Meritech received the Golden Sponsorship for the "11th World Conference of Animal Production (WCAP)". The company received the Excellence Award for Feed Additives by the Shanghai Dingniu Group, a leading milk company in the region. Two patents were granted for Meritech's phytogenic products.

  • 2014

       This year, the company received many awards. Some include the Innovative and High-Tech Company Award by the Ministry of Technology of China, the "AAAAA" Supplier Award for feed industries, and the Top Award for phytogenic products, which was conducted through a website poll organized by the China Association for feed industries. One more patent was granted this year.    

  • 2015

      Meritech's Head Office moved to Guangzhou International Bio-Island. Moreover, Meritech (Asia Pacific) Biotech arrived and was set up in Singapore. The joint research project between Europe and China was completed, with more than 10 research papers published in internationally reviewed journals to study the modus operandi of phytogenic products. 
The company received the Star Brand Award for feed additives and was the No. 1 Brand for phytogenic products.     

  • 2016

       Meritech won the Top-10 Feed Innovation Award by China's Economy and Technology Association and was elected as the Deputy Chairman for the association of AGP-free feed and animal industry in the Guangdong Province. 
One patent was granted.
The company also set up a scholarship under the name "Meritech Scholarship" for graduates and undergraduates of Nanjing Agricultural University.    

  • 2017

      Meritech celebrates its 10 year anniversary!
